Explore our
Peer to Peer Network.
Our Peer to Peer network allows kin, customary care, and adoptive parents and caregivers to connect with and support one another.
Peer Connectors provide individualized, 1:1 support to you.
Peer Connectors have extensive lived experience in adoption, kinship, customary care, and foster care. Additionally, they receive specialized training in supporting peer relationships and community connections. Many also bring related professional learning in social work, counselling, complex needs, and mental health to their abilities as peer support connectors.
They will help you:
Complete a thorough intake with all new community parents/caregivers, to understand a family’s unique needs.
Attend in-person and virtual support groups.
Identify the unique needs of families including local/relevant therapeutic, educational, respite and professional resources.
Match families, for ongoing peer support, with a buddy or mentor.
Advocate with, and for, parents, caregivers and families.
To access this free support, you must request to join the Peer to Peer Network. Choice from one of the groups below to register.
We are here to support you,
wherever you are in your journey.
Support Groups
Interwoven Connections has a number of active support groups meeting regularly based on topic or location. Many support groups offer regular meetings and a private Facebook group. Members of the Peer to Peer Network who are already parenting/caregiving are welcome to join multiple groups based on their needs.
