Western Peer Connector

Niluka Johnson

Niluka has dedicated many years to fostering neurodivergent children and youth through a therapeutic foster agency, and she is currently in the process of adoption. Passionate about empowering vulnerable individuals, Niluka brings a wealth of experience from working in diverse settings, including the shelter system, detention centres, and halfway homes.

A natural advocate, she has successfully navigated complex systems such as the criminal justice system, healthcare networks, educational institutions, and child welfare services to ensure the necessary supports are in place for the children and youth in her care.

As a peer connector, Niluka is deeply committed to walking alongside individuals and families involved in adoption, kinship care, and those seeking permanency, offering insight, compassion, and unwavering support throughout their journeys.
