Kim Grzybowski

Kim Grzybowski is a Cree on her late mother's side, a member of the Peguis First Nation and Polish on her late father's side of the family. Kim has been working in the field of social work education since 2015, has been in the social work field for over 25 plus years and has deep commitment for social justice, education and changes to adoption policies by practicing from an anti-oppressive lens that is decolonial, anti-racist, and anti-oppressive. You may ask the question, why does Kim have this passion for social justice and adoption? Kim’s extended family unfortunately was impacted by residential school systems in Canada that resulted in missing extended family forever and Kim was left wondering if they were adopted. This experience has fueled Kim’s journey with incredible people who continue to inspire her with their amazing strengths and who share the same visions for positive changes and is honoured and humbled to be on the Board to collectively contribute to the Mission and Values of Interwoven Connections.
