Pathways to Permanence© for Kin Caregivers— Spring 2026

Pathways to Permanency 2: Parenting Children Who Have Experienced Trauma and Loss (P2P2) is designed for caregivers where a placement has already occurred.

This program supports Kin caregivers to:

  • Better understand the impact of trauma and loss

  • Strengthen attachment and connection

  • Respond to challenging behaviours with confidence

  • Increase family stability and resilience

  • Eligibility: this offering is specifically for Kin in Care, Kin in Service, Customary Care Caregivers and Legal Guardians

Format & Structure

Delivered online via Zoom

Eight weekly sessions

Additional “Decoding” session available after completion

Facilitated by ACO PACT Program trainers

Certificate provided upon completion

This program is offered at no cost thanks to funding from the Ontario Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services in partnership with Interwoven Connections.

Notes: ⚠ Participants must be registered with Interwoven Connections’ Peer to Peer Support Network. There is no requirement to complete Pathways 1 in advance. Through a partnership with Seneca Family of Agencies, the Adoption Council of Ontario holds the exclusive Ontario license to Pathways to Permanency 2.
