Christie (she/her) is an adoptee and adoptive mother to her son who joined their family through international adoption. Christie and her husband initially pursued domestic adoption and discovered Interwoven Connections' resources in the search for more information about potential challenges their child may encounter. Christie cares deeply about advocating for adoptees, especially those living in transracial adoption. Christie is a registered psychotherapist and works as a trauma counsellor at Carleton University in Ottawa, ON.
