Who we are:

Interwoven Connections is an Ontario-based not-for-profit organization that supports families and relationships formed through adoption, kinship, and customary care. Our work is rooted in lived experience, advocacy, and community. We believe that all families have a right to advocacy, support and guidance. Rooted in lived experience and advocacy, we also emphasize accessible supports for racialized, Indigenous, and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities & caregivers.

Purpose of the role:

The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for planning, creating, and executing online campaigns and programs that grow awareness of Interwoven Connections’ brand and family support programs. This role focuses on developing content for digital channels — social media, email marketing, website, and paid/organic search — to reach diverse audiences across Ontario and Canada. The Digital Marketing Specialist ensures content is inclusive, bilingual (English/French), and aligned with Interwoven Connections’ mission to connect and support caregivers.

Priority will be given to candidates with connections to underserved communities, particularly those also experiencing the child welfare system, and/or those with complex health needs. This role is especially well-suited for individuals with direct lived experience in adoption, kinship, customary care, and/or family permanency.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns across social media, email, and web that drive awareness, engagement, and conversions

  • Create bilingual (English/ French) digital content, including graphics, videos, blog posts, landing pages, and newsletters that tell Interwoven’s story in accessible and engaging ways

  • Manage and grow social media platforms by scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and responding to community conversations

  • Build and optimize email campaigns by segmenting lists, testing subject lines, and tracking performance to increase engagement

  • Update and maintain website content while applying SEO best practices to improve visibility and user experience

  • Track, analyze, and report on campaign metrics using tools like Google Analytics and social media insights to inform future strategies

  • Support paid media campaigns by assisting with planning, targeting, and performance monitoring to ensure effective return on investment

  • Ensure brand consistency and accessibility across all digital materials in alignment with Interwoven’s mission and values

  • Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications Manager, program staff, and community members & partners to align digital efforts with organizational goals

What makes you a great fit:

  • 2–3 years of direct digital marketing experience (nonprofit experience is an asset). A degree or diploma in digital marketing, communications, or a related field is an asset but not required

  • Strong skills in content creation (e.g. video, infographics, presentation decks, webinars, reports etc.)

  • Experience creating content for social media, with proven ability to manage scheduling and reporting platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social)

  • Proficiency in SEO best practices and website optimization and management (e.g. Squarespace)

  • Experience using Google Analytics (or similar tools) to track and report on digital performance

  • Knowledge of email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp) for campaign building and list management

  • Familiarity with basic design tools for content creation (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French (written and spoken) is required; experience in translation is considered an asset

  • Knowledge of accessibility standards, inclusive design, and culturally responsive communication

  • Creative, detail-oriented, and data-driven, with the ability to manage multiple projects on tight deadlines

  • Passion for community impact and supporting diverse families and caregivers

Benefits:

  • 3 weeks paid vacation (increases to 4 weeks after 5 years of service, and 5 after 6 years), 6 personal time off days per year, and 12 statutory holidays.

  • Group benefits are available to employees working 25 hours or more per week, including Healthcare and Dental Care, after 90 days of employment.
