Evidence Based Approaches to Addressing Aggressive Behaviours (A FREE webinar for Professionals)

A FREE webinar for Professionals

Are you a professional providing support to families that may be experiencing aggressive behaviours by their child(ren) and youth? A national consultation highlighted an urgent need for these families to access professionals and service providers who understand Aggression towards Family/Caregivers in Childhood & Adolescence (AFCCA) and who can be part of a larger circle of support.

Please join Adopt4Life’s AFCCA Family Supports Program Team for a FREE webinar where you will learn evidence-based and practice - informed approaches to help build capacity within families and their safety.

When: February 26, 2023 9:30 am to 11:30am EST *

Presenters: Maude Champagne and Tanya Eichler

Learning outcomes for these webinars include:

  • Develop your understanding of aggression toward parents / caregivers during childhood and adolescence.

  • Strengthen your skill set in identifying and addressing the needs of vulnerable families.

  • Gain understanding of the relationship between neurodevelopmental disabilities (FASD, ASD, ADHD, etc.), trauma and aggressive behaviours.

  • Learn evidence-based strategies and practice-informed approaches to help build capacity within families and safety within the home.

AFCCA refers to Aggression towards Family/Caregivers in Childhood & Adolescence. AFCCA can be a difficult subject to talk about and families often share they feel shame, stigma, and isolation when they do seek help. Everyone involved—including the young person themselves—is at risk of physical and/or psychological harm, as well as family instability and possible breakdown.
