We’re hiring a Bilingual Marketing & Communications Manager!
Role details:
Location: Remote (Work virtually anywhere in Ontario). Occasional in-person collaborative work is required,
which may require travel within Ontario.
Salary: $42-45 per hour
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
Contract: One-year contract with the possibility of extension
Reports to: Senior Director of Operations

Interwoven Connections is an Ontario-based not-for-profit organization that supports families and relationships formed through adoption, kinship, and customary care. We believe that all families have a right to advocacy, support, and guidance. Rooted in lived experience and advocacy, we also emphasize accessible supports for racialized, Indigenous, and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities & caregivers.
Purpose of the role:
The Marketing & Communications Manager develops and effectively implements innovative strategies and campaigns that promote Interwoven Connections’ brand identity and family support programs across multiple channels and platforms, deepening engagement amongst a richly diverse group of target audiences and communities, Through developing and overseeing a talented group of marketing and creative team members, the Marketing & Communications Manager showcases Interwoven’s values, culture, and communities in ways that inspire lasting connections.
Priority will be given to candidates who bring an understanding of the diverse experiences of underserved communities, particularly those impacted by the child welfare system or complex health needs. While direct lived experience in adoption, kinship, customary care, or family permanency is not required, it is recognized as a valuable perspective that supports culturally responsive and inclusive program coordination.
How you’ll make an impact:
Execute the marketing, communications, and community engagement plans and strategies that align with the organization's brand, mission, vision, and values, and effectively reach diverse communities through both traditional and digital media channels.
Build brand awareness and engagement for the organization and its programs by developing inclusive, accessible messaging, storytelling, and visual identities that convey our impact and value.
Cultivate a strong digital presence by overseeing and managing social media platforms, website content, and coordinated email campaigns that engage and inspire our communities.
Effectively manage a multi-program marketing budget, including quarterly business planning and forecasting, while balancing cost efficiency and optimal resource utilization to deliver measurable returns.
Manage and mentor a dispersed, collaborative marketing team; develop team members to ensure they have the skills and resources necessary to innovate and succeed.
Align marketing resources and capacity to design engaging touchpoints in a caregiver’s support journey, specifically in the acquisition of new community members and ongoing community engagement /retention.
Collaboratively develop communication materials in both English and French, including newsletters, annual reports, media briefs, fundraising / charitable giving asks, advocacy, and other communications pieces that accurately and consistently represent the organization's work and achievements.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field, plus 3+ years of experience in marketing or communications roles, in a nonprofit or related setting.
Strong proficiency in brand management, digital experience design, social media strategy, email marketing, content creation, marketing analytics, and website optimization.
Demonstrated experience in executing successful marketing and communications campaigns that achieve measurable results.
Creative and strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills, able to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize multiple objectives.
Passionate about social impact and committed to working collaboratively with a diverse group of interested parties and partners to achieve common goals.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and French (bilingualism required), with the ability to communicate fluently and persuasively to a variety of audiences, both in person and through digital channels.
Benefits:
3 weeks paid vacation (increases to 4 weeks after 5 years of service, and 5 after 6 years), 6 personal time off days per year, and 12 statutory holidays.
Group benefits are available to employees working more than 25 hours per week, including Healthcare and Dental Care, after 90 days of employment.
